Contact Connie

Connie Van Hoven currently lives in Bozeman, Montana where she enjoys the great outdoors with her family. She holds an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Vermont College of Fine Arts. Her first two picture books are about Minnesota where she lived for many years and worked as a teacher naturalist, a tour guide at an historic site, and a buyer for a group of toy and book stores. The Minnesota books were followed by a nonfiction picture book: Rare and Blue: Finding Nature’s Treasures (Charlesbridge 2020) and a short story: “Snow Ghost with a Silver Whistle” in The Haunted States of America anthology (Godwin Books 2024). Forthcoming in 2027 is a picture book from Charlesbridge: Nature’s Minders.
